She's Hereee...

SHE WRITER Blogger Ball #6! It's only my second ball, but after the last one, I must say when I saw the announcement I sighed with relief, "Right on time!" ~Thank's Meg!

The last ball I joined turned out to be a really good time, particularly excited about meeting two writers, and bloggers, who won me over right away. Marina (How To Write Like You Love It) is writing a memoir, which being a memoir reader I hope to read her memoir soon. I also do humor, which Beverly Diehl writing in the flow writes my kind of humor.

Now, as you may already notice, I select my friends by the uplift. That's because I generally take my time to know my friends. There's one thing I realize in this business, you never know who might be 'the one' who adds that special spice to our uplift when we need it most.

So please, don't hesitate to link up with me. I can tell you up front I write books, and read books. Currently, or rather momentarily, I've put the reading on hiatus. I have a few projects to get out, one of the reasons I sighed when I saw the Blogger's Ball had begun. But if you've written some Chick-lit, or anything you consider humorous, and especially if you have a memoir that's all about you, do drop me a line. I like leaving reviews too.

Also, you're welcome to peek in on some of what I've written. No, I'm not a bestselling author, but I have written some books that will knock your socks off, and I do mean this literally. Check out the sidebar, My Amazon Shelf, and help yourself to recent posts I've written.

I'm going to let you go now, though before I do, here's my toast to you... ooops, hope I didn't get none on you... I just hate it when I waste my drink... and I mean that literally too, but do hope you make good use of and enjoy the bloggers' ball six!

  1. Hi, I'm stopping by for the blog hop. It's nice to meet you. :)

  2. I felt the same way when I saw the hop announcement - excited to *catch up* with some wonderful women, but knowing I'd fall behind on other projects to do it! Have you *met* Totsymae? I haven't seen her on this hop yet, but she is a She-Writer and if you're looking for humor, I know I can always count on her posts to make me laugh :)

  3. Umm Kelly...something on your blog caught my attention. Have you read Karen Wojcik-Berner's Editing for Grammarphobes? I'm looking for someone who will handle just that area;-)

And Shelly, have you recently changed the layout of your blog? I know I've stopped by because I've definitely seen your name around. All of you ladies are doing great things *Tots* too! And certainly appreciating you both stopping by to waltz and tango with me.

  4. Hi there, I'm here from she writes. Always great to meet a fellow book lover and writer. I look forward to reading your work and recommendations!

  5. Hi Cristina. Thanks for stopping by, and for the vote of supporting each other. That's very important.

  6. Stopping by from SheWrites. I really enjoy reading your blog!

  7. Thanks Fierce! And thanks for that great laugh tonight!

  8. Rhonda, thanks so much for the plug - you're linked in my sidebar, too, though I need to do some housekeeping there soon. Mwah, mwah! (or however that's done.)

  9. Awl, you're welcome Beverly. And that's about right...mwah, mwah... though it's a first I've come by it, lol but I like that one better!

Genuine Women Rock!

Funny thing about genuine women is they rarely say much when first meeting one. Oh, she’ll look me up and down, sizing me up I’m guessing, taking in most of what she thinks she sees before ever imparting any real piece of her mind. Gossip is just not her thing; mines neither, which is why when she unleashes one of them pearls of wisdom, Baby Look Out, I know this is a Woman Who Rocks!
Genuine Women are as Compassionate as Passionate

Doesn’t mean she won’t make mistakes, do wrong, be wrong, get mad and have those bad days. We all have our hard days, ugly ways. Name a human who doesn't. And still, turning the dial back upbeat, I know one-hundred-ten percent a genuine woman’s words are not cheap.

A Toast to the Writing Resolution Blog Hop Ball

I've been waiting to attend this ball all year, and now here it is…the perfect spot to slip in another Top Ten list, and call it my writing resolutions.
Before …oh boy…I get started, please know that Meg Waite-Clayton at 1stbooks is hosting the blogger ball. All the rules can be found (and followed) by clicking the icon pic in my caption, which also should be your caption as well. But before you get to clicking, here are my writing resolutions going into the New Year.

SHEWRITES Blogger's Ball #7 – YipYip HOORaY!!!

I think Meg Waite Clayton, who takes time out of her very literate busy schedule to host this ball, must really see me over here toggling this and that. Seems like it never fails, just when I'm about to drop a ball, up pops Meg hosting a ball. Of course, and please know, I don't really believe this. I already know the blogger balls come highly requested by SHEWRITERS, but can't deny that I, too, love the timing of each one thrown.
With over $#!$# projects going, not inclusive of other dependabilities begging my attention, I tried to avoid putting up the old 'Away on Vacation' notice. And rather than explain any more of that here, let me jump right into blasting this small pep of encouragement for those steeped in the writing process, and to writers everywhere.
If you're starting to hear a little whining about the time you spend writing, and blogging, to this is what I have to say. "Write on Writers." To my family, and perhaps to those who've been…
