Joke of Today
Son-in-law replies “the grill’s software is updating…”
The look on my husband’s face was priceless.
Okay, so that’s all I’ve got on that.
On to the next, I just finished reading ‘Dust Tracks on a Road’ by Zora Neale Hurston. The book was phenomenal. (Thoughts here).
Also, I always remember and honor those who have served and lost their lives, by reading narratives about and by service members. Some I recommend: Dear America: Letters Home from Vietnam, Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell, On Call in Hell by CDR. Richard Jadick, SitRep Negative by G.J. Lau, One of the Few by Jason B. Ladd, Until Tuesday by Luis Carlos Montalvan…
And least I omit honoring the most important vocation in the world …motherhood. To the mama bears …past, present and future, making it happen for their little offspring, Happy Mother’s Day! Favorite Mother Memoirs: At Wit’s End by Erma Bombeck, Not the Mother I Remember by Amber Lea Starfire, When We Were Colored by Eva Rutland, Listen to the Squawking Chicken by Elaine Lui, The Book of Joan by Melissa Rivers, You Have No Idea by Vanessa Williams and Helen Williams.
